Grades K-2 will attend on-campus classes each day from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Students will be released early on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm.

Grades 3-5 will attend on-campus classes each day from 8:15 am - 2:15 pm. Students will be released early on Wednesdays at 1:15 pm.

Drop-off and Pick-up

The campus will open each morning at 7:30 am. There will be no campus supervision prior to that time.

Students are to be dropped off in front of the school building off Lipoa Parkway.

Students will be directed by staff members to supervised areas of the campus prior to the start of the school day.

Students are to be picked up at the end of each school day at the same location.

We request that parents do not arrive early for pick-up as this often creates added traffic and slows the pick-up process.

Food Service

Breakfast and lunch will be available to students every day.

Breakfast will be offered from 7:30 am - 8:30 am.

Afterschool Programs

Aftercare will be available for students in grades K-2 starting on Tuesday, August 2nd. The hours will be 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Kihei Youth Center at the Kihei Charter School Campus will be available for students in grades 3-6 starting on Tuesday, August 2nd. Families must contact the Kihei Youth Center directly (kiheiyouthcenter.info) to sign up. The hours will be 2:15 pm - 5:00 pm.

Health and Safety Protocols

Safety will continue to be the priority for the 2022-2023 school year.

Our safety plan will remain in alignment with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, Department of Health, County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii.

Distancing, daily sanitation, classroom/office ventilation, safety signage, general hygienic practices, and other recommended protocols will remain in place.

Masking will be optional indoors and outdoors. Indoor masking will be highly encouraged when community transmission levels are medium and high. Universal indoor masking or targeted indoor masking will be strongly recommended in specific situations such as high absenteeism, a cluster of cases, and outbreak.

Please see the attached KCS Family Resource Guide for more details.
