Aloha KCS 'Ohana,

Applications for the upcoming school year will be available at our front desk and website starting March 1st. These applications must be received by March 31st in order for prospective students to be eligible for the 1st lottery on April 5th. Applications received from April 1st - April 30th will be eligible for the 2nd lottery on May 5th.

*Families seeking to enroll new students who are siblings of current students must turn in the application prior to the March 31st deadline in order to receive sibling preference in the 1st lottery.

*Current students DO NOT need to complete an application as they will be automatically enrolled for the upcoming school year.

Our final information session for prospective students will be held at our campus at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 30th.

Lastly, if you have a student that is currently enrolled at our school but will not be returning for the next year, we kindly ask that you notify our records clerk, Raquel Balasan (rbalasan@kiheicharter.org), so we can have a better projection of next year's enrollment.

As you know, the governor's emergency proclamation will expire tomorrow.

However, the Hawaii State Department of Health still recommends that certain populations, which include schools, continue to wear masks while indoors.

Consequently, masking for students and staff will remain required indoors and optional outdoors.

Today we write with an update on our safety protocols.

The Hawaii State Department of Health has adjusted its school guidance with respect to mask wearing.

Masks will now be optional for students and staff while outdoors, however, indoor masking will continue to be required.

We encourage all families applying to attend one of our Information Session nights located at Kihei Charter School
